Shameless Plug of the Week: My other blog

Being a jerk, and not having anything particularly interesting to say today and plenty of free time to do it in, I thought I’d engage in a little shameless self-promotion (but what else is new?)
Unfortunately, I don’t get the numbers on the readership of my TV Guide Law & Order: Criminal Intent blog, but the amount of comments I get has varied pretty widely. My best week so far was 13, my lowest for a new episode 4 (this past week). So, if you like reading and commenting on this blog, why not read and comment on my other one? As long as you pick a username that’s not my last time (Shawn Thatcher and Andrea Thatcher) no one will know that you’re a plant. Hmmm, that sounded kind of pathetic didn’t it? Oh well.
I don’t know if any of you actually watch CI (Tuesdays at 9 on NBC), but I try to make the commentary funny, with lots of bizarre and random references that about 7 people (read: weirdos) on average will get. The point being that even if you’re only a little familiar with the show, you’ll probably get most of the jokes – which are, of course, absolutely hilarious.
Here’s a little sample of the nonsense to whet your appetite, as it were:
“And man was Sesame Logs creepy – he totally nailed the JMK vibe. And in the process, he got to deliver — with a straight face — the immortal line, “She gorged on sweet honey and sesame candies while I made love to her.” Well-played, Sesame Logs: both hilarious and nauseating — not an easy trick to pull off…
…So this episode was already pretty darn entertaining, and then in walks Liza Minnelli, stammering out a disturbing hybrid of Liza with a 'Z' and Patsy Ramsey. Between weepily clutching her dead daughter’s stuffed unicorn, belting show tunes in the kitchen and flirting (?) with D’Onof over roast chicken and a bottle of wine — just get this woman her guest-actress Emmy now.”
Quoting from myself. I think I have officially reached a new low. I’ll blame it on the torture of watching clock hands painfully tick from 4:00 to 5:00 on a Friday afternoon. Yeah, that’s the ticket.
And now I’ll end my shameless plug with yet another link to the commentary page, and a promise that my next post will be funnier and/or more informative. Probably. Maybe.
